Is anyone else excited that Jurassic park is coming out in IMAX 3D or excited for the upcoming 4^th film? I have to say that when first I heard about both a few months back, I immediately started counting down the days until they reach theaters. For me Jurassic park was the movie that reminds me so much of my childhood. It became my favorite movie when I was 3, and I can still vaguely remember watching it over and over. Literally, over and over. When the movie would finish, I would rewind VHS and stick it back in the VCR and watch it all over again. I loved that movie so much that it made me to want to become a paleontologist. Sadly that dream ended when I realized that I’m terrible at science. I seriously took biology 3 times in high school. Well in my defense it wasn’t the same class 3 times. I only had to retake the first semester of regular biology and after that I took AP Biology. But despite taking that class so many times I still don’t remember a thing. Seriously, what is mitosis? I still have no clue. Although I didn’t achieve my dream of studying dinosaur fossils, I can settle for the next best thing, and that is to wear awesome clothing with dinosaurs on it and eagerly wait for both films to arrive in theaters.

The Killers San Diego Concert

Well this outfit was what I wore to The Killers concert I went to on Friday. I went to the 91X Wrex the Halls Concert event which was at San Diego State University. The Killers were the headlining band and the bands playing before them were Audio Addiction, Young Blood Hawke, Imagine Dragons, The Joy Formidable, Tegan and Sara, Passion Pit and M83. I have to say it was amazing because hearing the Killers live is always great but this was one of the worst yet it was also one of the best concert experiences I've ever had. This is a long story but here is what happened...

Field Trip

I was last minute dress shopping for a party that I was going to and I was looking for something that I could wear with my Jeffery Campbell Spiked Litas, but I was having a hard time finding anything that I had liked. So the day of the party I had quickly went to TJ Maxx but I came up empty handed.  Then I had remembered that there was a Kohls a few stores down. As I was looking through the store, I found this Lauren Conrad dress. I had really liked it but I knew that it wasnt going to go with my spiked litas but I remembered that I had a field trip the folowing monday for school where we were told to dress business casual. I know that I do not own anything business casual, so I thought this dress would work with that if I wore a nude blazer on top. However It ended up being too hot to wear the blazer so I just wore this dress alone.

What made me really decide to buy the dress was the fact that it was the last one left in the store and it was my size. I also thought that this dress would be perfect for any other occasion besides the field trip. I also really enjoy the mint green color and the flower and bird pattern on the dress.

Skulls

Hey, well I havent been posting regularly but I have been quite busy going to the dentist over the past month. I was just going to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned but then I found out that I needed to get my bottom wisdom teeth removed. Getting them taken out didn't hurt as much as I thought they would. I thought my cheeks were  going to get really big and I was going to be in alot of pain but I only had a little pain the day they were taken out and not much swelling. 

I also found out that I might need braces again. :'( I had braces from 3rd grade to 7th grade because my teeth were really bad.  But by the time I got my braces off they looked way better then before, but my teeth were not completely fixed.  My teeth don't close all the way in the front so when I bite down my front teeth don't meet together. So the dentist I went to said I should meet with an orthodontist to see what we can do to fix it.  So yeah I'm not excited to get braces again but I do want to have really nice teeth. But I still need to meet with an orthodontist in 2 weeks  to see what they say but I think I will most likely get braces again.

Grey Converse

Today I really wanted my converse because I never wear them. I got them in the 10 grade and I wore them constantly, but after that year I kinda forgot about them. Since I have been wearing my black lace up boots a lot, I really wanted to wear something different. Since the converse I have are grey, I wanted to keep my outfit neutral. I paired my converse with my white pants, a grey tee, and a black leather jacket.

Middle School Memories

Today I chose my outfit surrounding my denim vest. My mom had stitched this skull on this what was denim jacket years ago back when I was in middle school and obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean.

Like seriously I was obsessed.

I knew every word to the movie,  I had to buy every type of P.O.T.C. merchandise known to man ( I own a 18"action figure of Captain Jack Sparrow that makes sounds when it detects motion, or at lest that is what the box claims. I wouldn't know because I never opened it because I bought it with the intention of keeping it in mint condition forever.), I attended the P.O.T.C.premiere for movies 2 and 4, and I bought anything that had to do with pirates in general.

I would even spend hours reading about real pirates. I don't remember why, but I remember that Captain Kidd was my favorite.

Anyways, when my mom had stitched the skull on the jacket I was kind of coming down from my Pirates of the Caribbean obsession (only to be replaced briefly by The O.C. and then finally over to Lost) and not only that, but she had stitched it on a jacket that was way to big for me at the time so I never wore it.

So recently I found this jacket and it brought back a lot of middle school memories.
Although a lot of people hate middle school because it is filled with a lot of useless drama, middle school was some my favorite years in school.

Anyways, back to the jacket.  I really wanted to wear it; however, it was still too big. So to make it more wearable, I cut off the sleeves and I'm planning to add studs and spikes to make it look even cooler.

Thank you to all of you who wrote nice things about my Photoshop project. It really sucked when I got to class this morning and realizing that I had never saved it to my flash drive. But luckily I had saved every image I used and I had remembered what I had done so recreating it only took me an hour. :)

Since my spring quarter is quickly coming to an end, I was starting to plan out what I would do this summer. But just as I was beginning to get excited for break, I found out that my school only has 3 weeks for summer vacation. :'( I was really bummed out because I thought I was going to get about 2 months of break but instead Ill be getting a little less then a month before I have to start a new school year. So now I feel like I have to make the most of my three week break because I wont get another until December. :(

Anyways was everyone else sad that yesterday, May 23, was the 2 year anniversary that LOST ended? LOST is my favorite show and I was seriously obsessed with it! Two years have past and I am still so sad its over. :( Does anyone else love Lost?

20th Birthday

This past Tuesday I celebrated my 20th Birthday at the Aquarium of the Pacific. I wanted to go to the aquarium because I went there once for a field trip when I used to be in Girl Scouts. Although I don't remember what the aquarium was like, I just remember having a lot of fun there. So to celebrate my birthday, my family and I decided to spend the day in Long Beach and go to the aquarium and then go out to dinner afterwards.

Galaxy Cat

When I saw this shirt on Forever 21's website I instantly fell in love with it. I adore the cat face mixed with the galaxy print on it. For the rest of this outfit I just decided to wear black and add a purple purse to go with the purple in the shirt. Sadly, my spring break has just ended and I've started my spring quarter. But I am happy that I'm one quarter closer to summer break! Although it's pretty warm where I live, I still like to wear my boots and a light jacket because I always get really cold inside classrooms.

Pink Ruffle Skirt

Today I wanted to wear this pink ruffle skirt that I got at Urban Outfitters a few years back. Even though I really like this skirt, i feel like it looks odd because its very high waisted. When I tuck a shirt into it, it bunches up and makes it my stomach look weird, so I decided to just put a sweater over it. I used my square shaped purse that my sister got me for christmas. I think it was originally a binocular case but my sister gave it to me to use as a camera bag but my camera didn't fit so I use it as a purse instead.

Saturday

Today I had to go to an outdoor party and I wanted to dress nice but not too formal since everyone else was going to dress casual. I decided to wear this white blouse I got at H&M, black pants, and black lace up boots. But I felt like I looked too much like a pirate with my flowy white top and my boots so I decided to wear this  fake leather vest to  make my outfit look less like I was dressing up for Halloween.

Rainy Day

It was raining pretty hard today so I had to take pictures inside. Today I had an early class so I chose to wear something that was comfortable and warm. My grey purse is my school bag and it is by far my favorite one I've used for school because it fits my binder perfectly. I got it last October at TJ Maxx and I've noticed that whenever i see an Olivia + Joy purse at TJ Maxx is always my favorite one in the store.
